Q	Do we have to use filler on the damaged areas?
A	No, our very fluid resin circulates everywhere and fill all the defects on the pipe surface.

Q	What kind of resin do you use?
A	Epoxy and Polyurethane. Characteristics have to be defined according to temperature and environment.

Q	Does the resin circulate between two sleeves?
A	Yes, there is no mechanical discontinuity on the whole length of the repair.

Q	Is the Kevlar rope pre-impregnated?
A	No, It then makes its implementation easier.

Q	Do we inject the resin with pressure apparel?
A	No, our sleeves are filled through a funnel using gravity.

Q	How do you insure the quality of the filling process?
A	As our sleeves are translucid, you just have to take a look beyond it during you fill it with resin.

Q	Is there any possibilities to have air inclusion?
A	No, the air has no difficulty to escape through the funnel.

Q	How do you guarantee a constant thickness of the resin on the whole sleeve area?
A	Centring plots have been designed inside the sleeve to guarantee a constant thickness.

Q	What happens if the pipe is ovalized or in presence of an abnormal welding?
A	Nothing, ropes and sleeves adapt automatically.

Q	What is the use of a honeycomb structure on the sleeve surface?
A	It enables to have shock absorption.

Q	What are the reasons for using Kevlar ropes?
A	There are many. But the main one is because of the easy implementation and the guarantee of a quality repair.

Q	How do we plan the necessary quantity of Kevlar rope and resin?
A	Our product is sold by kit, it includes the optimal quantity of materials to repair 340mm. Then we are sure that the procedure for its implementation is respected.

Q	Can we use REINFORCEKiT Evolution to repair Tee and Elbows?
A	No. In this case, we use our REINFORCEKiT 4D.

Q	Is It applicable underwater?
A	Yes. In this case we use a special resin able to cure underwater.

Q	Do you use different width of Kevlar tapes?
A	Yes we use 100, 200, and 300 mm tape depending on the characteristics of the repair.

Q	Do Kevlar tapes are easy to impregnate?
A	Yes. The fluidity of resin and special Kevlar tape enable the resin to go through the fibbers.

Q	How do you assess the number, the interval, the winding of the tape?
A	With data integration on REA software, we are able to determine those factors.

Q	Do you integrate the aging effect on the materials?
A	Yes. All our products have been submitted to accelerated aging test, to integrate the ageing of the materials in our way of calculation.

Q	Can it be used on elbows and tees?
A	Yes

Q	Can it be applicable underwater?
A	Yes. Moreover in the optic of obtaining a constant tension and a perfect tape impregnation 3X has developed tools to help the diver during product implementation.


Q	Are there different models?
A	Yes: 2 electric 110 and 220 Volt and one pneumatic (7,5 bar).

Q	Is there a warranty?
A	Yes, one year

Q	Can you supply spare materials?
A	Yes

Q	Does the belt performance are varying?
A	Yes. It depends on the nature of the surface to prepare. One belt covers around 1m².

Q	Can we use it in presence of gas?
A	Yes, tests have been made to insure the use of MBX in dangerous environment.

Q	Can we sharp the belts?
A	No. But a used belt can serve to obtain a surface preparation according to SA 2.5. And a new one will make the roughness.

Q	Can we use belts from other brand?
A	No. This is a unique patented model. The form and characteristics of the materials are totally different.

Q	Is it important to fill everything?
A	The more your details will be accurate the more we will be able to optimize the price of the repair.

Q	Is it free?
A	Yes, unless you give us your full details.

Q	What are you doing with our data?
A	We are introducing it in our Engineering software and we obtain the exact details of the repair to proceed.
